Grab your sparklers, your patriotic spirit, and your all-time favorite cocktail glass — it’s time to toast America! What better way to celebrate our beautiful country than with a big birthday bash in your Cornerstone Homes community? Let the summertime magic fly free… it’s finally the best holiday of the season!

Of course, no 4th of July party would be complete without delicious themed cocktails.  Get the party going with something tasty to sip on while rocking your best red, white, and blue, whether inside your home, at the clubhouse, or in your private outdoor courtyard. Here are a few of our favorite libations to kick off the festivities:

Red: Cherry Bomb Mimosas

There’s nothing more celebratory than champagne — and a bold cherry flavor makes the cheers even sweeter. One bottle of champagne makes 4 servings of this deliciously spirited drink, which also includes pineapple juice, maraschino cherry juice, and orange slices for garnish. With a total prep time of 5 minutes, you can whip these drinks up for as many friends and family members as you’d like. 

If you want something even sweeter, frozen strawberry daiquiris are the refreshing treats you’re looking for and can be made without the alcohol).  

White: White Wine-Berry Sangria

If you like relaxing with a glass of white wine at the end of the day, you’ll love this twist on your favorite drink. Made with dry white wine (this recipe calls for sauvignon blanc), lemon-lime soda, raspberry vodka, brandy, chopped strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, this scrumptious concoction is sure to wow the crowd. Best of all, it’s just as beautiful as it is delicious… you’ll almost be too distracted taking photos to drink it!

Blue: Blueberry Mojito

What says summertime quite like sweet, juicy blueberries? Incorporate one of the season’s greatest treasures into your cocktail hour! This pretty drink is made with white rum, blueberries, mint simple syrup, club soda, and mint leaves, sprigs, and lime wedges for garnish. Classy, simple, and as blue-tiful as can be, everyone will love drinking these mojitos as they celebrate throughout the night.   And you may even find some blueberries in  the Corner Patch Gardens!

For a little more of a kick, bright blue rum-based mermaid lemonade is a wild and fun alternative to mojitos.

American Flag: Red, White, & Boozy Margaritas

Last but not least, the drink of all patriotic drinks… cheers to the greatest country in the world with American flag-inspired margaritas! These boozy treats are made with ice, silver tequila, and triple sec, as well as grenadine for the red layer, lime juice for the white later, and blue curaçao for the blue layer. Just as sophisticated as they are sweet and slushy, these margs will be the talk of the community for days to come.

At every Cornerstone Homes’ community clubhouse this July 4^th, you will find neighbors celebrating and relaxing around the pool, outdoor kitchens, and inside the clubhouse.  It’s a time to celebrate our country with friends and neighbors.  The best part is that you can walk home on your tree-lined community sidewalks and enjoy that small town atmosphere with friends.
