Kentucky Derby Party

AND...THEY’RE OFF!

Residents and guests at the Villas of Wake Forest enjoyed fun and fellowship while watching the 134th Run for the Roses on Saturday, May 3rd.  Everyone brushed up on their Derby trivia, modeled their best "hats" and picked their favorites for the Kentucky Derby.

Villas at Pepper's Ferry Testimonials

Charlie and Rajah

web pf charlie testimony_1.JPG"We chose the Villas at Pepper's Ferry because everytime we visited our son we dreamed of retiring in Christiansburg.  One of our favorite pastimes is to cook and entertain at the same time.  We chose the Chateau floor plan because it is perfect for entertaining!  We also love to interact at the planned social activities at the Clubhouse.  It brings us closer to all our neighbors.  Moving here has changed our lives in many ways.  We use the gym every day, walk on the Huckleberry Trail, and walk through our community and say hello to our  neighbors. It is a warm and  welcome place to live!"

Modern Day Pioneers of Orchard Villas

First Meeting of Orchard Villas Homebuyers

OV_1st_Buyers_meeting_website_006.JPG

The very first Buyers of homes in Orchard Villas met recently at a local cafe' within walking distance of their future new homes.  They met to discuss the exciting development of their community.  These modern day pioneers are seeking a carefree way of life, free from mowing, raking, pruning and shoveling!   They have the ultimate opportunity to watch and be a part of this active adult community grow from the ground up.  You could feel the excitement in the air as Cornerstone Homes' Owners,  Construction Personnel and Sales Counselors outlined the many luxiurious standard features available in the homes, explained the  next stages of construction, and answered questions of the Homebuyers.  Cornerstone Homes will continue to met with Homebuyers on a regular basis keeping everyone informed of the progress of the Orchard Villas community.

Exciting Community Updates

Huckleberry Trail

As a resident of the Villas of Pepper's Ferry, you can stroll out your front door and start walking on the beautiful Huckleberry Trail!  Cornerstone Homes is helping to support the efforts of Bill Ellenbogen and Friends of the Huckleberry, to extend the Huckleberrry Trail, currently running from the Blacksburg Library to New River Valley Mall, south to the Christiansburg Recreation  Center.  Ellenbogen foresees the trail continuing from the recreation center to Christiansburg High School and possibly to the town's new Aquatic Center from there.  It was recently proposed in the New River Valley Current that there would be a bridge over Pepper's Ferry Road expanding the Huckleberry Trail into the Town of Christiansburg.

The Proof Is In, Raleigh is a Great Place to Live

From the Raleigh observer: "You're not just imagining it. The eastern Triangle's growth is officially smokin'. The U.S. Census Bureau says the three-county Raleigh region was America's third fastest-growing metro area from 2006 to 2007 by rate, at 4.7 percent. It was also the 12th fastest growing by number of people: 47,052 -- or almost half a Cary. That's for Wake, Johnston and Franklin counties." Read more here.
